Anim Trulku Chozang Lhamo

Anim Trulku Chozang Lhamo (a ni/anim sprul sku chos bzang lha mo) also spelt Ani Tulku Chözang Lhamo, was recognized as the reincarnation or Tulku (sprul sku) of Anim Woesel Choeden (anim ‘od gsal chos ldan, 1921-1982), the outstanding female disciple of Gyaltsen Marpa Rinpoche (rgyal mtshan dmar pa rin po che ‘khrul zhig bla ma rgyal mtshan, 1857-1950), commonly known as Zham Rinpoche. After receiving all the empowerments, reading transmissions, and instructions (dbang lung khrid gsum) acording to Togden Shakya Shri’s tradition from Gyeltshen Trulku Rinpoche Kunzang Tenpa’i Gyalsten (rgyal mtshan sprul sku rin po che kun bzang bstan pa’i rgyal mtshan, 1953 -) she practiced for nine years in retreat and is now the retreat master of the monastery or Drubpön (sgrub dpon) teaching, guiding the female yogic practitioners and nuns while practicing in retreat (mtshams pa ma) and accomplishing the retreat practices of for accomplishing meditation or drubdra (sgrub grwa). Thus, these female practitioners can attend the actual retreats and main practices and not only receiving the ordinary monastic education of the teaching classes or shedra (slob grwa, bshad grwa). In near future, Ani Tulku Chözang Lhamo will take up the full responsibility for guiding the nuns and the female yogic practitioners in life-long retreat at Jashar Wong Drubde, the meditative college or drubde (sgrub sde) founded by Ani Ösal Chöden.
